Dental Tattoos

Dental tattoos are custom-created crowns with permanent enamel designs baked onto the surface. They’re perfect for people who want to add a little flare to their appearance without the pain and flash of a skin tattoo. Most often, dental tattoos are placed on molars, so they can only be seen at the discretion of the wearer.

The process to get a dental tattoo is quite simple. First, Dr. McCrary will take a mold of your tooth. This mold will be used to create your crown, and will be sent to our specialty lab along with your tattoo design. The artist will paint your design on the surface of the crown and bake it to make the design permanent. When the crown is finished, Dr. McCrary will place it in your mouth.

So, what kind of dental tattoo can you get? Anything you can imagine, from your initials or the logo of your favorite sports team to illustrations of your loved ones. If you tire of the design, Dr. McCrary can remove the crown and replace it with a new one.
